Burning problem

ok this is the deal, I have burned loads of psx copies and they play great on my ps2, but a few of em only get to the ps1 logo and then the cd just spins.
the ones that wont work have audio tracks in em, I dont know if that has anything to do with it. I have tried burning with almost all programs and I have read guides and set the settings like they should be, still it wont work.
the games I have problem with are Lunar SSSC, Tales of Destiny 2 and Resident Evil 1. My burner is a SONY CRX160E and I use TDK cdrs and my Mod Chip is a DMS3.
would really appreciate some help, thanks.

what kind of condition was the originals in? any scratches? also did you try more than one attempt, as sometimes you can get a bad burn.
What programs did you use?
Cdrwin, nero, roxio, easy cd creator.

The originals may still work but if they have any defects like smears, scratches, etc... they will not burn correctly.

I checked my ps1 cd library to see if i had those games but i do not so i will check with my friend and see if he does. If so I will see if he has had any trouble backing them up. I will also find out his burn methods. Got some errands to run so it may take me part of the day. Be back asap!

Ok I checked with him and he says he made a backup of resident evil 1 with Adaptec easy cd creator 3.1 which is an old software package that came with his old 4x burner. I did not see his backup myself so i cant confirm if he did get it to work but he says he did. You can try that if you can still find it around. There may be other gamers here that have had some sucess with these particlar games too. Hopefully one of them may share their methods if so. Mean while you can try to see if you can find/buy a copy of that old software and try it.

One more thing, if you do have any scratches or other defects, you can try using car polish on them and see if that helps. I had a disk in the past that was severly scratched and I used a car buffer with a small dab of car polish and it resurfaced them like new again. You may try that if this is the case with your originals, and you have an electric buffer. You could also get one of those disk doctors but Im not sure how well they work. Good luck with the backups. Hope some of this was useful. Let us know if you get it to work.
