Burning Games = bad discs? + Utopia Boot Disc Problem
Hello,
I'm trying to narrow down a problem. I have tried to burn a few games NFL2K2, Rayman2, Spiderman, and Alien Front Online. Each time I have burned them I have gotten a disc that "sucessfuly burns" but will not boot by itself or boot with the Utopia Bootdisc. They are all .cdi files, all appear to ECHELON releases, and I have used DJ to burn them. I have SFA3 burned and it works with the utopia boot disc, so I know my boot disc works. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do get them to work. NFL2k2 won't fit on my Acer 80min discs, so I had to overburn that one. Would truncating it help? Would getting another brand work better? Which one? Aslo my Utopia boot disc doesn't always work, sometimes it's 10+ tries before I get to the Utopia screen. It's also a .cdi file and it too burned sucessfully. Others have burned my .cdi files no problem. Could it be my burner? Thank you, Nystral |

It has happened to me a lot of times that CDI images won't work but once converted to NRG (Nero) and burned with Nero, they work flawlesly.
If your Utopia does not work fine, buy a new blank CDR and burn it with Nero. Dl it from this site. |

If all of the releases you have are Echelon, I doubt you have to overburn anything. I have never had a problem with Echelon releases OR had to overburn.
Again. DJ settings should never be touched IF you have a group released CDI. As frustrating as it is, we all have had the "no boot" syndrom... It is most likely to a bummed download. I dont care how many times you have downloaded it, it is probably fricked. Check all of the file sizes and see if they are the same.
