Persona (FES) burning problem

Well i hope you can guys help me.I have made several backups of Persona
3 (FES) because when i try to load the game on my ps2.It takes
resseting my ps2 like ten times or more until it finally loads the
game.One thing i have noticed it´s that after the ps2 logo dissapears
it looks like is loading but suddenly the screen that lets you browse
your memory card appears and then it goes to the red screen asking me
to insert an original ps2 disc.I have a 50001 ps2 and have used dvd
decrypther,image burn and deep burner to burn the
discs(verbatim,sony).I really don´t remember the name of the modchip it has installed but it´s an old one that i got it installed years ago.I just
restarted to play again.

Try to load the game from the original; if that has problems, too, the laser might be getting weak.

Some newer games require patches to run, and yes your old modchip may be getting detected in game or start of game hence why it fails to load.

At the moment it seems to be the Swap Magic Discs and a combo of the slider for bulky PS2/ magic keys for slimline/ or a flip top for either slim/bulky.

And there is a memor32 which apparently is a modchip on a memory card. Quite a good idea, how it works to bypass protections is beyond me but it cant be good for hardware :P

Well the original loads fine.No hitches.So it might be like DABhand said and my old modchip is getting detected.I guess i need to get another modchip too.Thanks for the help guys.

If the game was modchip protected it wouldnt load period. The fact that it loads sometimes is a sign that the laser is getting weak or the use of poor media.

Yeah didnt see the last reply, so yeah if the original works then just doesnt like your media.

As a test though have you burned a disc at 2x or 4x?

dude, just go to youtube and type in "How to play ps2 back up's"
