Help with Emergency 3

Can anybody help me with a problem I am having.

I have just recently purchased Emergency 3. The game installs fine, but when I try to launch the game I get an error message stating em3.exe has to close.

I have tried downloading some of the fix exe and no cd files but still it doesn't work.

Can anybody help me with this problem.

I take it this happens when you use the original exe and also if you use a crack. My advice would be to reinstall the game (full install option). Try to run the game with your disk. (dont replace the exe). If you still have a problem then mabey you ought to contact tech support for the game as this is obviously not a crack related problem.

PS is the version you bought a shop retail version or a coppied version from a car boot sale or something ? Do you only get thew message stating that EM3exe has to close ? Nothing else ? Your Anti virus proggie isnt resulting in the exe being closed is it? I know its a simple one but one that has had a few people over the past.

Thanks for the reply, its an original game not a copy.

Its the original exe file that I am trying to launch and I have also tried a cracked one for no cd, both of which give the same message.

It does only state that it has to close and then gives me the option to send an error report.

Not sure what you are going on about with the virus proggie I'm afraid so any more info would be much appreciated.

I take it your using a Anti-Virus program (Nortons,McFee etc). Well it "could" be set to stop all exe's from running without prior premission or without being on the exceptions list etc. (all depends what setting your Anti-Virus is set to). Also i would normally always suggest making sure all drivers (Mobo,GPU,Sound etc) are up to date but from the description of the problem you have given it dosent point in that direction. What Spec is your PC ? What is your opperating system + which if any service packs are installed as its "normally" good practice to be fully updated with windows. Always try to give as much info as poss when asking for help as it makes it easier to work out. Post as much info as you can. Also what version of DirectX are you currently using ? What version is required to run the game ? (normally this would be sorted automaticly though).

PS. This thread has been posted in the wrong forum. This forum is for crack related probs etc and this obviously isnt crack related. Mabey posting it in one of the more relevent forums will result in more replies.

i used to have this error. what i did was i replaced my videocard with a full compatible directx 9.0 card. and now the game is working fine.
