This can be done, by comparing the two protected EXEs in HexCmp, then applying the changes to 1.00 fixed EXE. I wonder if I have time to try.

I think WaltonSimons only expressed himself improperly...
With simple copy protections - that only need a few bytes to be changed for a no-CD patch -, the following can be done: 1. Compare the original EXE of version X with the unprotected EXE of version X and make notes of where (code around) and what (in concept, not actual bytes) the differences are. 2. Find the same code fragments on the original EXE of version Y (Y > X) and apply the same changes there. And, yes, it works most of the time.

wrong version numbers
try scanning with something decent like pid and not something outdated like a-ray.. 7.0.0.05 and 7.0.0.12 do NOT exist the last digit portion is not the sub version...
