ebook reader

I don't know if this question is appropriate to this forum. Nevertheless... ...

I wish to buy an ebook reader - something that can allow me to indulge my predilection to read while lying down, and protect at the same time my precious reading material from a plague of termites, a common problem in India

I found, on googling, that there is a bewildering variety of ebook readers floating around

now what i want is an ebook reader
01. that reads doc, pdf, jpg, gif, txt and rtf formats
02. that will also read the pdf/gif files that I had created by scanning the books I have, without the intervention of DRM problems

thanks for your advice

If you created pdf and gif's why would there be any DRM problems?
Are you by chance a poet or writer ? Just wondering, your writing style is quite a shock to those of us who are used to illiterate warez kiddies going "OMG WT!F whErEz Da CRACKS !" all the time. You should bundle your signatures and get them published :D
