scsi or ide reader and writer???

i am currently using an aopen 36x reader
and a mitsumi 4801te burner it seems'
i cant make a good image with either one at the
slowest speeds and diskjuggler doesnt support
the burner "only successful image with discjuggler"
i can afford to make the jump to scsi but i read
that new ide burners are as good if not more reliable with "burn-proff" i would appreciate some
educated advice on this topic i need a reader and
writer any suggestions thanks

IDE is less expensive, simpler and easier to work with (configure/troubleshoot). SCSI is more expensive, complex and harder to work with. At the same time SCSI, when working correctly, will always outperform IDE, no matter what the device.
