Gunvalkyrie crashes when loading from HDD

I have a v1.0 Xbox, running X3 Config Live on an X3CE chip and an using the Avalaunch dashboard.

I recently got a 120gig harddrive to replace my stock drive, and was excited to backup some of the games I play frequently to my Harddrive, as well as some games ive been meaning to start (kinda ironic that I finally unwrapped Jade Empire and I just use the disk to backup to the harddrive).

Anyway, to be honest im surprised what I did even workd. Basically, I just created a folder with the game name in a "XboxGames" folder, and configured Avalaunch to read from that folder, then just used Avalaunch's file browser to queue all the files on the DVD then copy them over to the new directory I created on the harddrive. (Yes yes, I know that using dvd2xbox would have been a lot easier, but I wasn't aware that dvd2xbox could backup games, by the name I just assumed it was a dvd video backup tool).

As I said, considering I heard of some games having filenames too long or with characters that FAT-X can't handle, and with newer games having media check, im surprised practically every game of mine I uploaded to the harddrive worked.

While I havent tested my games that far yet, I did try them enough so I could either load my saved game or start a new game and play for about 5 minutes, movies, sound, music, etc.

All the games worked fine except for one, Gunvalkyrie.

There is no sound or music throughout the game, and it crashes when I try to load a stage, whether I am loading a savegame or starting new, the menus work (albet silent) but it hangs at the loading level screen, pretty much immediately after that winged red dolphin logo thing appears on the screen.

Anyone know what may be causing this? And how to fix it?

Most likely some files were either corrupted somehow, or missing. I would try to recopy the disk to the HDD through dvd2xbox. It gives an error when files are not copied and also autopatches games. You might want to try clear the x, y, and z drives. Cache problems have been know to freeze some games.

Yep, that worked.

I also noticed a media directory that got copied over that was not there before ony my HDD, I guess I forgot to copy that over when I was doing it manually >.<

The game is still merciless as ever though, I dont think I will ever beat it...
