Thanks for all your great help :-)

That is what your burner is - a TEAC CD-R55S with a different label.

the name is Smart and Friendly CD Speed Writer, is there any software that can identify the cd-writer ? Also, I tried to use CDR ATIP Reader and CDR identifier and both could not work with this cd writer (do I need to add ASPI in Win2K for them to work ?) Thanks :-)

The TEAC is not capable of those functions, therefore theSmart and Friendly isn't either.
You can verify that it is indeed what I said it is by spending a few hours searching using various search engines on the net If you can already burn with it then ASPI must already be installed.. |

I burnt with it in Win98 where I have ASPI 4.6, but on Win2K I don't have ASPI installed - do I need to install it (and what version ?) Thanks :-)

You are actually giving me hope that I won't need to buy a new
cds writer, but I just need to know the correct procedure to create images from cd's and also write images to cd's, and since you say that you have done it a lot, could you please be more specific and elaborate - I am very gratefull for your help Thanks :-)

I just remmembered what bugged me the most - when I want to
write an image to a cd in cdrwin and in the "recording options" of the "Record Disc" page I check "Raw Mode" I get a message soon after the writing starts that there was some error - do you know what this is ? Thanks :-)

I have already said - USE THE DEFAULT OPTIONS.
If you need ASPI - http://download.adaptec.com/software...aspi_471a2.exe |
