Battlefield 2 Crash to Desktop

My problem is CTD everytime a new map is loaded.
I´m using the mini-image #2, but tested no-cd file and same problem.

BF2 never crashes for me randomly. Only on new map loading on MP. Never Single player....


My settings:
AMD64 3000+ 2Ghz
Gigabyte K8NS
Soundblaster Audigy 2
Geforce 6800 GT 2400 Golden Sample
Latest Forceware drivers
Two WD ATA100 drives
1Gb Kingston DDR400

If the crashes only occur in multiplayer it is an CD-Key issue. Someone else uses the same CD-Key as you. And as soon as two players connects to a server with the same CD-Key FADE will be enabled and let the game crash.

Solution:
User your original CD-Key and don't share it with others!

whats the difference between fade and santa claus?

some ppl claim to have seen santa claus, fade on the pc (flashpoint) was hype, linked to the cd key, dont believe the hype

Fade was real.

Just it was pants, and never really worked 100%

yeh but wasnt a 'this protection will degrade your cd' like it claimed, it just worked from the cdkey you entered and if it wasnt 'valid' it did weird stuff

my game still crashes

it opens then loads a black screen with music and then goes to desktop
then mucks my graphics up and make my res 800x600
