If I dump to XB HDD first I use either DVD2XBOX or Complex Tools. The first time I use either of them and have it waiting for me to insert a disk the XB will reset, the next time it's fine and will eject normally without a reboot.
If I am going straight from XB DVD drive to PC then I use CuteFTP (FlashFXP kept freezing with XPSP2) thanks for all of your advice on this too!

So it does work on a second try, just not the first? Hmm,I am not sure what to say. Did you do the power mod where the chip boots on eject, and the original bios boot with the power switch?
