Need to backup my sims 2 dvd which program should I use?

Hi!

I'm new to the boards! So I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I want to back-up my sims 2 dvd edition on a DVD+R. I used to use CloneCD for everything so I assumed that when cloneDVD came out I could just use that for this as well. But alas it was only for movies so can someone please help?! and tell me what software I should use to back it up. I appreciate any leads.
