emulsion, can you post one of these files somewhere. it may be similar to a *.dcz file, which is nothing more than a bunch of wavs linked together in one file...

ok, only way i could help is to see a *.str file, so i will rip this game myself to see the files. how long did it take to rip? the only other option would be to find smallest str file and replace all others with it... post how long the rip took, so i know how much time i am looking at...

ok, not sure if this works or not, but within 5 mins. of research, i came onto this:

http://www.speechtech.com/straud2.html

it makes the STR audio files, and gives you chance to decompress str files to wav, then you can downsample and compress back to str files..

good luck, tell me if it works...

took all day. its about 950 megs. the smallest .str file is 40 megs so when they are all replaced with it, its like 789 megs (AHH!!!) theres still some kind of protection on the disc though... cant even get it to load. but fitting it is the primary problem

ok, first, try to use the program i sgguested above, it should work to make the files smaller...
if not, try leaving off the str files, although you wouldn't have any sound. secondly, have you ran the hack3.exe program or the hack.exe program? i take it that this game is not cdda, so no need for the dahack and cdda.exe programs...

the first time i tried (with no str) i ran the hack and the hack3. when it got past sega logo, there were just a bunch of wavy white lines and nothing else. so now im trying it without the hack3 (might not require it. its an old game) and will tell ya what happens

ok, this is a method i have found works good (although people will say "you can't do it like that!!!") run:

hack.exe BIN_FILE LBA

then run:

hack3.exe BIN_FILE 0

if it need hack3, you will know becuase it will actually chnage something...

also, be SURE to run binhack on ip.bin and so on...
