This is the original exe. It does not differ from the retail exe -> not cracked.

I'm a noob here, keep in mind!

I tried that crack by ViTALiTY (24.03.2007) but when I start the game with the new .exe file, I have a message that talks about a game update (I can't continue without it). When I press OK, the game freezes (probably because I replaced the original .exe) and crashes.

When I put the original .exe back in the folder and try with the CD, it works perfectly but the game update message doesn't appear!

Anybody knows what I'm doing wrong?

seems atari has released the patch. Wait until a new crack is out or play with original exe

But it's weird that when I play with the original exe, I don't have to "update the game". Sounds like if I wasn't trying to play without CD, I wouldn't encounter updating issue.

Probably the game detects that an update has been released. Disable Internet access for the game executable (temporarily) in your firewall software.
