Tokyo Xtreme Racing 2 (Save Fix Problem)

Ok, I have checked the message board, and have seen the problems and all that people have had with the Save fix problem...and I still have no luck..

First, this is whats happening when I put the cd in after doing all that stuff. It simply doesnt start up, and I get that DC startup menu. So I figure my problem is the boot up. Anyway, if it is, I dont know how to fix it.

I've gone to different sites and tried different things and how to burn them etc. and no cigar.

I did the EXACT steps below twice....
1. Grab your previous burned TXR2 US CD and copy its contents to C:\TXR2\DATA\
(using Explorer or whatever filemanager you like)
2 Overwrite C:\TXR2\DATA\1ST_READ.BIN with the new one
3. Create the data ISO: MKISOFS.EXE -C 0,11700 -V TXR2_ECH -l -o C:\TXR2\DATA.ISO C:\TXR2\DATA
This will create C:\TXR2\DATA.ISO from the files in C:\TXR2\DATA\
4. Inject the bootsector: IPINS.EXE (it will ask you for the supplied IP.BIN and DATA.ISO)
5. Launch CDRWIN, goto "Record Disc", check "Open New Session", click "Load Tracks..."
click "Add...", select "All Files" in the file type and choose AUDIO.RAW as the track
file. Click "OK" and once CDRWIN is done compiling the cuesheet, click "Start Recording".
6. In CDRWIN's main menu again, goto "File Backup and Tools", select "Record an ISO9660 Image File"
on top, choose DATA.ISO as the "Image Filename", set "Disc Type" to "CDROM-XA", set
"Track Mode" to "MODE2", check "Finalize" and "Write Postgap", uncheck "Open New Session".
Click "Start".
7. Enjoy your fixed TXR2!

I am doing something wrong somewhere...but I dont know what it is.... Everything works fine all the way through step 7....but when the second burn (burning the data.iso) at the very end, I get an error message.... I am using CDRWIN Version 3.8D....I have a HP CD-Writer Plus 9100 Series (damn good burner) and am using some 80 minute no name CD-Rs...... Now your probably thinking (his problem is the cds)....but every other game I have "backed up" with these cd's works fine....even the Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 version without the save fix.

Am I doing something wrong with the IPINS.EXE file? is the ip.bin and the data.iso file supposed to be in the same directory? Cuz if they are, I did it one time with the files in the same directory, and one time without... I am confused as hell.... I think its just the error message at the end of the burn that isnt helping...should I try different type of cd?? ( Using 80min cds )( I am wasting cd's like crazy here )

If someone out there wants to give me some hardcore exactly detailed directions on how to do this....please, by all means, do....or tell me what I am doing wrong, etc....just someone please help me out! lol.... I am sure this is a simple problem, I just can't figure this one out.......someone please help....

If u get error message at very near the end of burning 2nd session, I think ur CD is not big enough to hold the game. Try to use other brand 80 min cd and let me know what happen.

You know what, I think that most likely is the problem... Cuz when I was gonna backup Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 with DJ, it said the cd I was using didn't have enough room basically, but in CDRWIN, it didnt say anything....but when I burned the "non saved" version with DJ and a Memorex cd, it worked fine...so I am gonna try and use a Memorex with CDRWIN, I am almost sure it should work now...Thanks.
