BATTLESTATIONS: MIDWAY DVD9 TO DVD5 X2..(PROGRAMS NEEDED UNDERNEATH)

(ULTRAISO,DAEMON TOOLS & ORCA)

CREATING DVD1 OF 2 INSTRUCTIONS

1) CREATE A FOLDER ON THE DESKTOP CALLED [BM_DVD1] & COPY THE FULL CONTENTS OF THE GAME DVD TO IT

2) GO INTO THIS NEW FOLDER & OPEN THE FILE [Battlestations Midway.MSI] WITH ORCA

3) NAVIGATE THE LEFT PANE UNTIL YOU SEE MEDIA NOW ON THE RIGHT PANE CHANGE ALL THE ENTRIES UNDER DISKPROMPT TO [BM_DVD1] & VOLUMELABEL TO [BM_DVD1] THEN CLOSE & SAVE

4) NAVIGATE THE FOLDERS AGAIN TO FIND THE MOVIES FOLDER & REMOVE THIS TO YOUR DESKTOP

5) CREATE A FOLDER CALLED CRACK WITH YOUR NODVD IN IT & ADD THIS TO THE FOLDER

6) NOW USING ULTRAISO MAKE AN ISO WITH THE VOLUME LABEL [BM_DVD1] & SAVE (SIZE=2.15GIG)

CREATING DVD2 OF 2 INSTRUCTIONS

1) PUT THE MOVIES FOLDER BACK INTO THE BM_DVD1\PROGRAM FILES\BATTLESTATIONS MIDWAY FOLDER
& THIS TIME REMOVE THE MPAK FOLDER

2) OPEN UP THE AUTORUN.INF AND MAKE IT LIKE THIS

3) MAKE THE ISO THE SAME WAY YOU DID THE FIRST & SAVE (SIZE=3.69GIG)

4) AUTORUN THE GAME & WHEN AKSED CHOOSE CUSTOM & MAKE SURE YOU SELECT MOVIES & CREATE SHORTCUT TO BE INSTALLED ASWELL

5) ONCE THE GAME HAS INSTALLED ALL ITS GAME FILES IT WILL ERROR SAYING IT CANT FIND THE 1ST BIK FILE MOUNT DVD2 AND CONTINUE.

6) AT THE END GAMESPY WILL TRY TO INSTALL REMOUNT DVD1 TO CANCEL....

I am always looking for ways to convert to DVD5, so here is what I did with BSM.

I brought this game down to just 1 DVD, but it took a good part of 2 days for the conversion process..

On the DVD under the Program Files folder, the movies are there in BIK format. The main movie dir has BIK files with 5.1CH audio, the 2 sub dirs have no audio. The conversion process is quiet long.

Get hold of RadGameTools & convert all the videos to 65% of its original, remove the check box on 'Compress Audio'. Extract all 5 channels of audio files from the original, select your movie & convert only the audio, choose the channel to convert 'Input from track' choose 0-4, 0 being CH1 and 4 being CH5 and save them like this for example main-0.wav, main-1.wav (-0, -1, -2, -3, -4 = 1-5 channels).

Once the movies are converted, insert the 5 audio files back into the video files 'Mix in sound'. Select the -0 files & insert it as track 0, select -1 & insert it as track 1, same with tracks 2-4.

Once this is complete, you can replace the old video files on the DVD with the new ones you have just created & you can burn the game to 1 DVD.

Converted videos quality is barely noticable from original...
