Help me somebody....please... Gothic 3 Patch V1.08

i am new to this forum....i was just wondering if someone might be able to help me....i been trying to install the gothic 3 i.08 patch but each time i try it gives me this error message:

Setup Experienced an error

Please do the following:

-Close any running programs
-Empty your temporary folder
-Check your internet connection (Internet-based Setups)

Then try to run the setup again.

now i dont know wat to do...wat is it that i am doing wrong...my internet connection is fine, no program is running when i try running the setup and i deleted everything out of my temporary folder.... someone please help me i am desperate....

Contact the game publisher for Tech Support.

Search the forums, there are a few threads regarding this game but I believe as you have not mentioned anything about using a NoCD crack that your answer needs to come from Tech Support.

This forum is for help PC Game Backups.

NOTE: If you are using a NoCD crack then swap it back for the original exe, then install the update.

You need to download the patch from another web site. I had the same problem too. I downloaded the patch from gamespot 3 times and they all gave me the same error. I downloaded the patch from fileplanet (I think that was the site) and it installed without a problem.

I did all the tricks the first time. Took out the NoCD crack, Reinstalled the game, put the old files back in. None of that worked. You just need to download it from a different web site.

1st at PATCHES-SCROLLS.DE and GAMESPOT are BAD files (Bad CRC on
the ZIP and EXE). Next day changed the files for the good one(s).
I heard on 3dgamers site was the same bad file and sure changed next...
So, the installation error not your faults, DL again.
