Laser reads blue disc but not white disc????

My PS2 version9 SCPH50002 reads Blue Disc ok now. But when put White Disc in it does not read. How do I fix this? I've already tried adjusting the pot by lowering the resistance and it still only read blue disc..Thanks.

POT adjustment doesn't always work... sounds like the DVD Diode in the laser was either completely blown to begin with before you attempted to adjust or you over-adjusted it...

The Laser was already reading Blue disc only before I even work on it. Must be a blown DVD diode then. You mean I need to replace to circuitry under the lens???

No. You need to replace the entire laser pickup unit...
