I just found out that I sent my Civ IV play CD to Netflix instead of their movie. This all comes from the fact that I decided to keep it "safe" in their movie sleeve while watching their movie on my nice widescreen laptop. I have no idea yet if Netflix is even going to be willing to send me back my CD, or when exactly they are going to decide it's convenient for them to do so. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who has the CD version of Civ IV was willing to send me a copy of their Alcohol 120% CD image file. It's been a while since I've used Alcohol, so I'm not even 100% sure this is possible, but I'd be real surprised if it wasn't.

Of course, if any of the GRE are feeling particularly generous, they could maybe whip a nice little No-CD for an very popular title...

Hehe, man dont req the full image, it will get you banned. Just edit your post to request a NOCD of the CD version. I just made a Fixed Image of the CD Version. Look in the how to make a maxi image thread for the DL link.

Who said full image? I'm requesting a mini image! Please be careful when you put words in my mouth, you could get me in serius trouble. What is a "Fixed Image"? Is that a type of software version of a mini image maker? If so, I'll go download it now.

My original CD sometimes doesnt even work

Have to run it 20 times before it detects the ****er. The mini image isnt any better,

So I should keep trying if it doesn't work? I figured it would either work or not work. Alright, I'll keep trying. Let me make sure I did this right, though: I mount the image. Then I run the Hider. Then I try and run the game. If it fails, should I start over again?

Yeah, but its not worth doing this every time. I just finished rebooting twice so that the ****ing thing could start again. Its pathetic. I already returned the discs and got new ones. Definitley a problem with the copy protection....

That sucks. Are you sure it isn't your drive? My CD hasn't started doing this yet, although I've only had the chance to play the game 2x since I got it. And now this crap, of course, lol.

10 drives cant be wrong. Along with 2 external DVDs. I hang around in a PCGAME cafe, before you ask where the **** I got all this hardware from.

Hahaha! Yeah, we used to have a game cafe around here, but it was kind of a bad location and the guy couldn't stay in business. Anyway, I've tried this thing a billion times and it just won't work. If you ever feel like making a new image in Daemon like G-Man was able to (and someone else, I think), lemme know.

Just one more question: I want to make sure I'm using SafeDisk Hider properly. Do I need to have it installed into a special directory? Or can it be run right from my desktop? It didn't really come with instructions.

It can go from desktop. I am figuring this thing out gimme a coupkle of more minutes. Gman made a full image, not a mini image.

I made a mini image by putting it in microwave for 45 secs at half power.........let it cool first before playing..........
