Problems Installing Backup Copy of Call Of Duty

So I run the installation and go through the usual routine.
I get through CD 1 okay, but then it asks for CD 2. So I put CD 2 in the drive but the prompt pops up again asking for CD 2. I don't know what's wrong with my CD 2.

I tried holding down the left SHIFT key before closing the drive with CD 2 in the tray, but that doesn't work (someone told me to try that).

Thanks

Thanks for the input. Well I figured out the problem. It was a labelling problem. Stupid me. But oh well.

CDs when backed up must be labeled: CD 1 = "CoD1", CD 2 = "CoD2" (without quotation marks, of course).

So that problem's out of the way now. Everything installed just fine.

So I go to launch the game and I get an error saying that my video card may not be compatible or I may not have the latest drivers.

I get the latest drivers for my OLD video card and install them (card is nVIDIA RIVA TNT2/TNT2 Pro 32MB, old I know).

That still doesn't work. Same problem. I can't launch the game.

It sucks because a friend of mine has an older computer with older parts than me and he can play GTA: San Andreas (choppy as hell, but at least it loads for him).

And my pockets are too shallow to cough up the loot for a newer card. This sucks. I hate to vent but it's frustrating. Especially when I've gotten so close.

I'm sure there are, at least, half a dozen effects that a RIVA TNT2 cannot do by hardware and this games requires it. (E.g. can a TNT2 do hardware transform & lighting? I think not.) But there are so many older games that are fun! (I just love oldies but goldies! )

Yeah, I'm with ya on that one. I still enjoy Age Of Empires II. Classic.

But I figure I'll go on a mission to upgrade my card somewhat.

Just not sure what's good that's out there these days. It's been ages since I've looked at graphics cards. I'm sure I'll be okay though.

Cost of Card (decent one) = Cost of Game..

Miss out on a game and buy the card.

Thanks again. Well I'm off to check out some prices on cards then.

Wish me luck. I shall return with something.
