Question Fifa 2005 Lan Game

Hi!

The question is straight and simple.... Is there a way to play FIFA 2005 on LAN with a no-cd installation of the game??? I tried to do that in 2 ways. 1st with the network option. Complete failure ... when i create a game it can't be seen by the other pc. 2nd with the direct ip option. I lanch the game and the screen flickers on both pc's. I assume that there is a problem with the no-cd patch... Can anyone help plz!!! Any help would be apreciated. THNX!!!

Thumbs up Fifa Lan-Game

Hallo,

you have to define your standard gateway. Give it the same number as your TCP/IP Number. It is important that you choose the right filter in the "Lobby".

Then it will work properly.
Greetings

I'm sorry casper maybe you didn' t understand exactly what i meant. I think you gave me instructions to play online (internet, this is impossible anyway because the pc's are not online). What i meant was than i have problems playing on lan (Local area network). I have 2 pc's connected with settings : 192.168.1.1(PC1) 192.168.1.2(PC2) . The network and all the settings are fine, other games work perfectly (so that the are no misunderstandings). The problem exists only in FIFA.... thanks anyway!!!

Referee’s and Linesman on only One Lan-PC activated?

Hi,

sorry for the answer. These was the answer for a NFS 8 question i wanted to give in an other forum.

Perhaps one of you have activated the Referee’s and Linesman.

I found this in the internet:

Referee’s and Linesman are disabled by default in the game to improve game performance. If your computer is strong enough you can turn this option on manually.

To do this:

1. Go to My Computer
2. Open the drive the game was installed on.
3. Open the \program files\ea sports\fifa 2005\data\cmn folder
4. Find and open the following files in notepad:
cfg_pc_h.ini
cfg_pc_m.ini

5. Add these lines to the file after the //Default line
FEATURE_INGAME_REFEREE_ENABLED=1
FEATURE_INGAME_LINESMEN_ENABLED=1
6. Save the files and start the game.

If you notice that this affects your game performance, remove the lines from the files.

After deactivating these lines the multiplayer game was ok.

I hope this may help you solving your Problems.

Casper
