So, just how easy is this thing to get it to lift?
Any tips/foolproof methods to lift the pin from the board? Thanks a lot... LUFCfan

hey,
its quite easy u need both hands! Get a small screwdriver in your left hand and the soldering iron in ur right. Now touch the iron with the base of the chip let it heat up now gently with the screwdriver tuck it underneath the pin and lift do not apply 2 much preasure otherwise you could snap the chip leg

put two small razor blades eather side and heat up the leg with the soldering iron and apply Pressure to the blades at the same time the leg should lift up don't lift the leg too high or it will snap and then the fun starts

I used an exacto knife. Put the blade under the leg and heat the leg with the soldering iron. While its placed gently push the leg up with the exacto. Don't leave the soldering iron on too long or you can burn the board.
Good luck.

I use a steel pick with the tip bent to a tiny hook shape, put the pick under the Pin and heat it up with the iron and LIFT.
