About to install an Infinity in my PStwo
My PStwo has been running for the past 2 weeks without incident so I'm pretty confident that the laser will last. I'm about to order a Matrix Infinity from my local reseller but just want to check a few things first.
I managed to copy the upgrade data onto a memory card using my friends PS2 so in case I get an older chip from the reseller, I can upgrade it myself in my PStwo. I've heard this process can do damage. Is this for real? Also, for those of you that have done the Matrix fix, which one is better? I've seen people have done the diode fix, but there is also the fix that involves the extra resistors... Is this fix really needed or is it more like a safety net to make sure nothing can go wrong down the track. Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated. |
