Data burn method and RecordNow Max 4.5 with LG4040B
OK I got RNM 4.5 with Px Engine and a hacked pxdrv.dll to recognize the 4040B. I have not tried to burn a DVD-R as of yet.
I wanted to give the Data burn a try so I tested it on a CDRW because I didn’t want to waste a DVD-R. For my test I tried to burn Beats Of Rage, a homebrew game, about 70MB. Burned the data as described for Data Burn method and no files show on the xbox, Evox shows "unknown". The only way to see all the files on the XBOX is with Media Center which supports ISO9660 standard. BTW I can’t figure out how to copy files with media center, how do you select a destination folder? Should Data burn work with CDRW? Is Evox M7 bios not compatible or what? |

just to let you know, i have never gotten a homebrew game (excluding emulators) to play on cd-rw's. I have no idea why, since i know it isn't a bad disk or unsupported media.

Beats Of Rage will play fine on the same CDRW if I use XISO to make the image.
The only thing I can think of is that people who use Data burn must have a BIOS or Dashboard that allows ISO9660 format support. |
