how do u extract only audio from avi files?

I just want the audio, specifically a musical performance, but it's from an avi file. Is it possible to extract only the audio? If so, how?

Send a message via MSN to khafan

Get VirtualDub from here and open the avi file with it, then go to file->Save WAV..
it'll extract the audio in wave format.
