To one of the mods, can you do a survey on the XBox longevity?
I am interested in wether or not anyone has had trouble with there XBox,
1) If they have had any troubles with there drives and what kind were the drives. 2) How many people actually used there warranties 3) If anyone has had to have more than 2 XBoxes I am just curious as how its longevity is.

Well, my xbox dvd-rom ussually gets that dirty disk error on almost every original I have. So, I guess you can say my thompson is dying. That is a problem, but already well noted. Other than that and the crappt doughter boards the 1.0 have, that's it.
Oh yah, and i had it since the christmas that the xbox was released. And most people here don't have a warrenty now lol.

I just got an hdd upgrade instad of a new drive.

im yet to have troubles with my xbox really..
i mean, now that its stable and call all i can say is, dont let other people touch ur box.. warranties are invalid once u open up the box
