PS2 with messiah installed , problems getting laser lens cleaner disc to load

I can get ps2 games , cds and movies to load on my machine but loading the laser lens cleaner disc seems to be a problem.

If i try a load of times eventually it seems to load up but most times it sticks , i can hear the laser clicking.

Why do you think this is, should it not think its a normal cd track and just load in. Any other type of cd works fine.

Ive tried just putting the disc in , double tap reset, single reset , and inserting the disc and power off then restart , but the machine is confused with it .

Its a Dvd\Cd lens cleaner made by scotch.

Anyone have any ideas?

At least everything else seems to work ..LoL

Are you sure your cleaning disc actually has a music file on it? I know that most cheap laser cleaners dont have one. But I have come across a few that do. Make sure it does have a track on it.

Try disabling your mod.

What happens when u stick it in yr cd or dvd player?

Yeah it does have music tracks on it.

Track 1 -- use/care information
Track 3 -- lens cleaning
Track 4 -- stereo speaker balance test
Track 5 -- troubleshooting hints
Track 6 -- a message from 3M

there is no track 2. i doubt that would confuse the ps2 though.

Yep it works fine in cd / dvd players.

I may not ever need to use it in ps2 though ???
i think i read on here some people saying usually the discs spinning blows the dust off the laser. you think this is true?

Also do you think it could damage the laser trying to load it the way it sticks most times? usually when i try it for a while it starts eventually.

Disabling the mod would be extreme no?
I didnt fit it so i dont really think i should mess around with it LoL

As long as the other stuff keeps working it should be ok , just asked about the lens cleaner in case i may need to use it.

I have the same lens cleaner as you and mine behaves exactly the same as yours. It's a real PIA to get to load. Sometimes I feel as though the console may get damaged just attempting to load it.

Try a better quality one (shrug). Not much help I know.
