Hi, here is a problem I have with a crack for Cossacks : European Wars No-CD/Fixed exe; it's the one posted on 11-12-2000 by Dynasty for english/german version :I've followed exactly the instructions given and the game worked quite well (only some screen bugs); the problem is that the following day, my laptop computer didn't detect anymore the CD reader: it doesn't appear in the explorer or what ever else, even in the bios I think. But when I put the cossacks CD in and launch the game, the game works so it means that the CD reader works well and is well connected (if I don't put the CD in, the game doesn't launch).
I've tried to reinstall the CD reader but with no CD reader it didn't work. I think it's the regsetup.exe included in the crack that has modified my registry and block my CD reader. I've uninstall Cossacks and it still doesn't work. I've even tried to restore windows day before I puted the crack on: didn't work also.
So, please, if someone has an idea or a solution so that I could find back my registry or if someone knows where the problem comes from, it would be a great relief for me since a CD reader is quite usefull...
