Home Video recording Software Question???

I have been trying to copy my home videos to DVD. I am using Power VCR II to extract the movies onto my hard drive in MPEG2 format using the NTSC standard. At this point all is well. It is when I try to convert the MPEG files to the VOB format for DVD that I am incurring problems. I am using the software that came with my burner which is Sonic MYDVD. The problem is that the sound is 2-3 seconds behind the video which makes all my home movies look like cheap chinese movies that were dubbed badly. Is there any other software out there that will allow me to sync the sound from my MPEG files?

Thanks

Thank you. I will look into Roxio. I used to have it until a burner I bought would not work with it.

Thanks again

I have checked Roxio's site and my burner is not listed as compatible. I am using a verbatim VBTDVRW4A 4X DVD+RW/R writer. I would hate to buy software that I may not be able to use. I was hoping they would have a demo I could try but could not find one. Any one have any other ideas.

Thanks

Just use Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 to encode and if it doesnt support your burner at least it will let you make an image that you can use some other software to burn with.

Tyler!

Hi,

Get the Canopus - ADVC-100 Analog to DV Converter. The problem is getting the sound and picture to work together.

I use the Gigapocket feature that came with my Vaio computers to import the Video to the hard drive, and then I use Nero to edit the video and burn it to DVD. Works great!
