Nascar Thunder 2004?

I am batting 0 for 3 on getting EASports games to work on my new rig. Tiger and NHL didn't work and now Nascar thunder doesn't (asks for CD even though the RETAIL cd is in the drive). Anyway, is a no-cd crack available for Thunder (I found Tiger and NHL)? And is this a problem with ALL EA games and Lite-On cd-rom drives?

Try disabling any system tray utilities like CloneCD, Daemon Tools, Alcohol120% etc. Copy protections these days refuse to work with a lot of those software present. Yes, the dumb thing is that this will lead to more (false) reports of the games not working, but game publishers aren't exactly the brightest people around. I wonder what catastrophy the next wave of copy protections will bring...
