Ripping futurama season 3

Hey quick question, I borrowed futurama season 3 and the 1st and 4th discs are giving me problems - I can't view them on my pc or laptop (just pauses at the intro screen) and when I try to rip using DVD shrink i get the error "CDvdCSS::Read Failed!" Same error on both my desktop and notebook.

Is this some sort of copy protection? Why is it that disc 2 and 3 ripped fine? This is quite strange, I haven't had any problems with other DVDs ever!

It almost certainly will not be copy protection.

Have you tried to open the disc using DVD Decrypter ?

Just a little addition, I reurned the DVDs to where I work and found that all 5 of the copies we got in were return because they would either 1)not play on xbox dvd players or 2)not play on pc dvd players.

It seems like its a faulty batch!
