StarWars KOTOR saved-games have stopped working!

I'm 43 hours into the game, and have about 10 separate saved-game slots for the past 5 or so hours. And I can't load up a single one anymore, not even the autosave.

It says loading, the bar begins to fill, and just before it reaches the end, it goes to the main intro/title screen part.

What's going on????

One other thing, I can start a new game, save it, and then load THAT again. But that's it. Not the old ones.

there are a huge amount of small glitches and a few big ones in KOTOR. Did you try clearing the ram? To do that play three games other than Knights. Then place Knights back into the xbox and try to load your saved games again. Also is it a back-up or the original?

What relevance this might have i do not know, but...:

The game was working fine. After the 43h period, I decided to back it up. So I did the usual and backed it up succesfully. Then I decided to try out the backup.

I tried to load the saved games I had, and the afore mentioned problems arose. But I found that a new game could be started and saved/loaded fine.

So I put in my original disk, but found that IT had the same problems too.

Whether this has something to do with the backing up or what, I don't know. I'll try the ram thing and hope that works. I'll report back once I've done so.

Oh and also, I lent my backup to a friend so he could try it out. After about 20 hours of playing, he's found that he can load up his saved games, but when he moves from one area to another, and the game 'loads', it crashes on him.

I fear this is related - either it's something to do with backing up, or ??? I don't know.

It's working!

That ram clearing did the trick. Extremely weird tho to happen in the first place.

I played Halo, Splinter Cell, and Soul Calibur 2 for half an hour each and then tried KOTOR. All's well now.

Cheers.

::nods:: I heard the ram trick worked for somebody else with a similar problem. I figured it would help and I'm glad it did.
