Question Weird thing with Enter the Matrix

Hey, my body has a problem with the game Enter the Matrix. He has a backup of it that his friend made. When he gets to this one level it freezes up at the same spot all the time. He even used the other character and it did the simliar thing. I let him try my backup of the game and it did the same. Both backups on different media. I have not got as far as he is so don't know if it will do the same thing for me. Maybe I should borrow his saved gamed on the memory card and try it out on my ps2. My friend has i think a version 1c motherboard with a magic 3 chip. I have a version 5 with no solder chip using the magic swap disc and I have no problem with it. My friend thinks its a copy protection. I told him he has a ****ting laser and crapping chip. What do u guys think.

Bad media and a Bad Burn. Try some Verbatim or Ritek media. Also, download RecordNow MAX and try the tutorial here . You could try copying the backup but if all else fails, make a new image from your original. It can't be the chip as it has booted and if it freezes at the same spot, it must be Burn or media trouble. Try my suggestion and happy gaming.

I use record now max all the time and never had any problem with
it. I use princos and no problems with them. Its probably my friends laser that has trouble reading cheaper media since its a version one ps2. I hear the first ps2's had crappy lasers. Maybe it needs to be adjusted.
