Hi dudez
Ok, just got both above games for my birthday. As with all my games (bar MGS) I back them up and play off the backups. Seems sensible to me. However, TRD doesnt want to work, done a straight copy and burned to DVD, but justs reboots the box. Any ideas ? Also, MGP2 does the same. With it being an xbox live game I have removed the update.xbe from the image before burning to DVD, don't want my dashboard altering for xbox live thank you. This worked fine for other live games. So, im guessing this is the "media check" i've been reading about. How can i get round it ? I have the PPF patch engine, but, no idea whereto get the patches from for these relatively new games. Thanks for any help. |

Patches
Ok well first what kind of chip do you have, if you have an x2 lite it is just as easy to update your BIOS as this automatically does the media check. No as far as patching goes I have the copyhaunters and what I do is open the program select the floder then the deault.xbe file hit patch and voila its done
If this dosen't help you there are some great people here who know alot more than me but I thought I would try.

nice to know it sorted you'r problem
all new games now require the media check patch so like i said i patch every thing now even old games like halo which don't need it. a side affect was discovered by HANS COBBO. games patched which don't need to be patched boot faster when burned using the data burn method. |
