PSX NTSC game problem on PAL PS2
Hi I have a problem playing final fantasy IX(NTSC format) on my messiah modded PAL PS2.WHen I use ImportPlayer Light 2 the game works fine and without frequency(flickering picture) or colour problem but the sound in in-game movies skips.Do I have to use NTSC-2-PAL patcher to remove this problem or is there any better ImportPlayer out there, that doesn't has this problem. If I don't use anything to boot the games the screen flickers(fequency problem) but the colour is O.K. and the sound in movies doesn't skip but because of the flickering screen I can't play the game.
Thanx! |

I believe the problem can be solved by soldering a link onto your motherboard that forces all spx and ps2 games to play in full pal whether they are pal, ntsc or ntscj.
U can find where to put the link on messiah 2 installation diagrams as an extra mod to carry out while ps2 is in bits. Do not confuse it with the rgb colour fix. U could also try using an RGB Component scart lead instead of the composite video lead the ps2 comes with, that way all games will play full colour no problem without any boot disc, only problem then is that dvd movies come out in green so u would then have to apply the rgb colour fix to get round this problem or alternatively use dvd region X or ar2 to boot your dvd movies up. Regards......

I would just like to know which is the best patcher for PSX games from NTSC/PAL to play them on PS2 or maybe import player to corect frequency problem(y-pos).Now I've tryed ImportPlayer Light 2.1 and the picture and color are fine but the in-game movies seems to work slow and the sound skips in in-game movies too.
And please don't post me PS2 color fix diagrams because the color is just fine, because I've already done color fix and I use RGB cable. Thanx! |
