DVD Shrink - Freeware
Came across this program, going to give it a try. Looks OK at the moment and believe it or not it's Freeware!!

Hmm, report back how it works, the resulting quality, and how long it takes to encode.

Ok i just tested this prog on starwars ep 2,
the programe works more or less the same as DVD2ONE except it rips direct from the disc while it re-encodes you can select the audio track's and video tracks you want to keep and even crop the end credits out so you dont haft to compress so much. The picture was nice and clear and that was at 20% compression this took about 40-45 mins.
