DVD Region X Trashed my memory card!

Hi!

I wanted to watch region1 movies on my PAL PS2 (v7 with magic 3), so i downloaded the DVD Region X disc (www.dvdregionx.com) from direct connect... i know i shuld have bought it, but i wanted to test it before i spent money on it...

Anyway... it didn't work on my ps2, when i booted the disc it told me i have to download some upgrade codes from www.dvdregionx.com, wich i can't find... when i boot the disc it says that i've got DVDID = 2.13E and DVDVER = 2.13E and there are no codes at there page for this versions...

ok... so the disc don't work? i have to live with that, but the big problem is that it trashed my memory card! this cd uses a ordinary memorycard to save it's data (i suppose), but after iv'e used this cd, i can't save at my memory card!

When i browser it with the built in ps2 memory card browser, it doessn't show any files at all, but there are files taking up place in the memory.... if i play games it can often load my old files, but they can't save... there is one exeption, and that is "crash bandicoot" that saves just like before...

what shuld i do? i've read that i should be able to format the memory card with action replay v2? does this help me with my problem?

please help me if you can!

i DON'T KNOW....this might or might not work...but..
try to borrow an AR2 or buy one.... you can see all region of dvd in rgb too with this fella....worth more than DVD region X

If you have an AR2, just try boot up AR2 .... and go to memory card section and format your memory card...
But of course it will lose all your data...buy hack..at least u still can use it....

Hmm by the way.. u can also delete data using AR2..try selete the unnessary files files first before formating(fils like DVDREGION X's)

PS: But make sure the AR2 you have is at least version 2.1...,hopes this help...buddy...

Hi... it seems like i need both the AR2 cd, and the donkle (memory card looking thing) inkluded? I don't know anyone that have those and it wouldn't be fun if i bought those and it still didn't work...

Aint there any boot-cd that doessn't need a donkle that can format a memory card? Maybe even a freeware?

i only have one file on the memory card that i want to save, and that is crash bandicoot (luckily!) so i can just save that to a friends memory card during the time...

I thougt at someting... ive heard that if i remove the memory card when it is in use (when it says "do not remove the memory card")

all the data on the card will be removed...

what do u guys think about that? i mean... the card don't work now anyway...

another ting... is there any game where i can choose to format the card? i havn't seen any, but you never do, do you?

It seems like only the psx memory card is deleting all files if you remove it when it's being used... my ps2 memory card doessn't delete any files when i remove it while saving/loading...

does anyone have any idea of how to compleatly format a ps2 memory card? exept the AR2-way... does anyone know if that works?

i dont want to spend money on a AR2, IF it doessn't work anyway... where i live, AR2 costs more then a new memory card...

i need to remove the "DVD Region X"-file, but as i said, if i browser the card with the built-in software, it just says: "no data" but i know the files are still there....

Hmmm since you mention it... i think there is such game that lets u delete games... but i forgot which one...just wait i'll go through all my games and check for you... this may take a while...
cause u'm only online once a day... usually at night at my place..
so sit tight...

i checked isonews forum yesterday... and it seems like Medal Of Honor Frontline, and The Simpsons can format a memory card, if you try to save on it and its damaged...

i will try to borrow one of thouse from some frind... but i don't know anyone right now... more titles would help..

i didn't find any of the discs above that can format memory cards... so i just returned it to the store... AND! i didn't just get a new card, i also got like $10 because of the reduce of price since i bought it...
