What type of wire to use for modchips??

What type of wire is good to use for wiring the modchips? Also i read the install guide and it says to use copper enameled 32/33 awg wire. Is that the only type of do i have any other options? And where the heck can i get it from. I called a few local places, nobody had it. How much will i need and how much does it cost. Thanks

Dave

BTW- its for a Messiah 2 chip

I've not done it myself but I've heard people say they use Kynar wire 30awg single strand or an IDE ribbon cable.

yep kynar is the best to use
i used it for my neo 4

but i suggest you bend in place first as its not to fleible
and use a good flux to tin the wire
but most important after installing
use some sort of electrical cleaner(ie contact cleaner for Forklifts)
as the flux thats left on the board will start the joints to
fur and corode after a while, use a small cotton bud with the
cleaner on the endto wipe around joints,
orjust spray board but leave for a while as this stuff is
flamable.

i only give this advise as ive had to rechip my ps2 after 6 months
of being installed and the neo 4 has 44 wires so not a fun
thing to do again
