Question Silent Hill 2 (PC) Technical Problem

I've looked all over the net and finally decided to e-mail konami for support with my problem they haven't replied yet but i hope maybe some of you can help me thanks... here is the e-mail below with my system specs right at the bottom too very long though cuz it's a text file generated from dxdiag... tia bye!
----------------------------

Hello Support Team of Konami,

I recently started playing Silent Hill 2 for the PC platform. It's an awesome game so far, but very early in the game I have this big problem, which I can't seem to fix and nobody I talked to could help me with (friends etc). Anyways, this problem happens when I go onto a specific street/part of the map and it is vital for me to go there and there is no way around it. It is early in the game when I need to get to the park which is underlined with two red lines on my Map of Silent Hill. To get to that park I can only take this route and I have tried every other possible way and they are all blocked. The turn is from Katz Street to Neely Street which is where I suddenly get booted to the desktop from the game and that's it. I have tried changing all my options to everything possible and read the ReadMe documents three times (hehe). Anyways, nothing is working. The desktop boot only happens when I take like 5 running steps onto the Neely Street off Katz Street, but before that I can still play and everything. Maybe it's because a cutscene vid is supposed to play there or maybe it's something else. Anyways, thank you for your time and please write back as soon as you can because I can't wait to continue playing this wicked game. Thank you! Bye! BTW My system specs are below....

SYSTEM SPECS:

and yes i did try different drivers now using the newest newest drivers the 41.09 ones. still doesn't work and 8.1 directx ver doesn't make it work either.. really need the help also during installation it said that some movie files and one .map file like cb34 or something was different size than it said in the .cab files don't know if this is because it's not a copy from the store if you know what i mean any1 else had that happen i have non-corrupt images too daemon tools gave me the same shit.. i just pressed ignore it copied the files over with the supposeduly wrong sizes even though they seem okay the movies worked anyways... and that one small map file i don't think could be it could it ? anyways tia in advance hope you guys can help me out thanks bye! maybe a no-cd patch will fix it even though that's very unlikely.
