password protect cds

I want to burn some of my files on to a cd and password protect that cd, i.e. nobody can read the files on the cd without a password. I am not looking at any strong protection scheme; just want to restrict kids from some of my back-up files that are on the cd. Locking the cd-rom drive is a less preferred option for me. Can any body help me? Thx in advance!!!
