Question System requirements for AO4

I just bought a Pioneer A04 at a local computer show for $300 (US). I now need to upgrade my PC to meet the system requirements. On the box it requires 800 mhz Pentium 3 minimum and recomends 1 ghz. Also need minimum 128 MB of RAM. I would like to know what specifications are best for backing up my PS2 games and is there anything else I might want to know before getting my A04 going. One more thing, I thought this drive was able to burn DVD-R/RW AND DVD+R/RW. I noticed on the box it only mentions DVD-R/RW. I guess I was wrong. Thanks in advance.

No, A04 only burns DVD-R/RW

Not sure about best system spec, my machine P3 600MHz 320 MB RAM and it works fine for me.

What spec your machine at the moment?

I only have a Compaq AMD-K6 with only 64 MB of RAM. I am sure I need to upgrade. I am looking at a Compaq 1.5 ghz P4 with 256 MB of RAM. Did I get the right burner? I turned down a Pioneer 104 f/$269 (US) because the A04 was only $30 more.

Yes...You got the right burner...The ONLY difference between the 104 and the A04 is the packaging.....The A04 comes in a retail box with all cables, manuals, software, etc.. The 104 is the OEM version and usually only comes with the bare drive and cables.. Either one of them would work fine BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SAME DRIVE, only packaged different...
