Has anyone had any luck making a 1:1 from this title???

I have thrown eveything I got, except the kitchen sink, at it and no joy!

I have tried CloneCD, CDMate, Alcohol120, FantomCD, Blindwrite, Nero, CDRWin, etc and have even tried Daemon Tools for emulation and nada!

I may not be an expert at this, but I'm no newbie either.

Have tried with both Plex and Liteon and the frigger just won't work even with emulation!

Looks very much like ProtectCD5 or a SecuRom New 2 prot.

Anyone got any more info on this title and or a link to a no-cd?

And yes, I read the sticky!

Any help is appreciated.

Yep, it might be the new SecuROM, but this one I can't even have it run from an image with or without emulation, much less, get a 1:1 copy from it.

This is the first title out of MANY I can't 1:1 copy nor even emulate via an image.

I have tried making 1:1 backups and/or images with all the pre-mentioned programs with different settings/speeds/readers and to no avail.

It would be very interesting to know if someone has been able to make a working 1:1 copy and/or image of this title, and if so, to supply the info as to hw/sw combo used and the settings.

Again, any help will be appreciated.

Can anyone help? I have a less-than-legitimate version of the original EE, but today I purchased the expansion pack. Of course, I can't get the expansion pack installer to recognize that I have the original installed. What can I do, if anything?

I may just do that, I have always felt bad about not having purchased the original. It's such a great game that I definitely don't feel good about taking bank away from it's developers. Everyone has a friend that comes over and installs cracks and crap on their computer don't they? I just happened to get addicted to this particular game!

Bump!

Surely by now someone here has either made a good/coaster copy of this title, some feedback would be appreciated guys, specially if you achieved a good copy!

Also, if someone can send in a no-cd or fixed exe for this title it will be appreciated, I've looked everywhere for one and no luck as yet.

I'm mainly interested to know if this title is 1:1 doable or not, and if it is, what hw/sw combo and settings were used to achieve it, if a 1:1 is not doable, then we got trouble headed our way with this protection.

Your 40125S should be able to make a backup/copy, maybe go back to CloneCD3341 ....

I found that the main problem with the litey's is that Clone is not correctly controling the writing speed, I done a few tests with my 24102B & brothers 23123S & found this to be true with WarCraft 3 ....

I already tried with CCD 3.3.4.1 and 4.0.1.10 both failed, as well.

This is actually the first title I have not been able to 1:1, WarCraft 3 and the others like it were no problem for me. This is one of the reasons why I find this title somewhat disturbing and are trying to find someone that has been able to successfully dupe it.

This is a relatively new release, so there hasn't been enough time for a lot of people to get their hands on it yet. However, I've heard of others failing with this title already but haven't heard of anyone succeeding as yet, would be good to hear one success story and some details of the hw/sw and settings used, etc.

This game is not available here in Australia yet, well not at the closest EB for me I checked today, so I can't really offer anymore then the above for now...

Knowing Sierra it would have to be SecuRom like Zedy stated, maybe slow down your reading & writing speeds, other then this, have to wait until I get my hands on it ....

Yep, tried different speeds already, tried reading/writing x4 and even x1, no joy.

We will just have to wait until this title makes it out to more places/people, then we'll know one way or the other, just hope it's my gear cause I can always get new gear, but if it's really not a do-able prot with the current tools we have, damn that's gonna suck.

I would just like to ask if someone has even made a working IMAGE of EE AOC???

Because if noone has, I would think its Tages. Because Tages has special sectores like this:

1,2,3,4....100,101,101,102....500,100,
501,502...

U see?

So u cant even make a working Image when the CD has Tages

I mean is it securom NEW 2 or something like that, is it also a protection from Sony?

Correct, I took a closer look at the corresponding files, it is SecuRom 4.82.01.0027.

I assume you have a good source of information, although you're saying what I already suspected and it would therefore be very easy for me to accept it as fact, I'm trying to remain as objective as possible, so tell me, have you personally tried to 1:1 this title unsuccessfully or is this 3rd party information you're going on?

Try using Alcohol 120% v136 build 1223 and create image file using securom new v4.x and use 1x speed for Data Posision measurement.
I haven't tried to burn the image yet with these settings so if anyone beats me to it let me know if it makes a usable 1:1 copy
