How do I compress an ISO image?

My burner cannot support RAW writing. SO what I was thinking of doing is creating an ISO image and compressing this with Winzip or something similar and buring this to a CD. I could then mount the image in DT.

The process works fine but when i try to extract the ISO file from the zip file on the CD I get an error about invalid data in the archive. The ISO image is of an SD2 game.

Anyone got any suggestions?

TIA
