Unhappy why wont it let me burn games anymore :(

Hey ppl..well ill get right to the point....ive had a burner for about two years now..ive been able to burn games no worries using BlindWrite Suite...but recently something hasnt been goin right...It lets me burn em i get no error, lets me install it fine...then when i go to play it says "Please Insert CD"..this never use to happen..and its happening with ALL games..even games i have burnt successfully before...ive even reformatted and this still happend...if tryed my friends brand new burner and the same thing happens so its not my burner..any ideas?

i use WinXP Pro..and well im not sure about my burner but from what i can see its a Diamond Data CDRW 32x10x4

if any of you ppl can help me solve this ill be a happy man

It looks like it could just be simple evolution.

CD protections have evolved to a point at which your burner can no longer copy them.

Or it could be that your burner is fecked.

As a simple test, copy an unprotected title and see if that works. If it does then you know it isn't your burner.

to tell the truth, your list was reading like all the nastiest securom games and safedisc 2.51 ones, until you said sof2.

also - your friends new burner might not be capable of burning the protections either. check your hardware properties, see if you can find who manufactured your burner, or if it really is a diamond data (never heard of this brand myself), and then check its burner capabilities @ www.elby.org

try and install with daemon tools from your images before you burn them back - make sure you have good ones . otherwise, im generally confused. slow down?

Blade, I've posted this before, but did you install CloneCD 4 with the HideCDR media solution on??? If yes that is probably the cause. I recently found that Hidecdr media causes problems as it intercepts with calls to try to hide the cdr media function. It seems most games now detect this feature.

Simple solution:

1.) DO NOT use your burner to play games.

2.) Turn off Hide cdr media.

Good luck and i really really hope this works for ya!

hide cdr media has nothing to do with burning..it has to do with reading....

Well let me tell you I backed up these from your list
Neverwinter nights
StarWars Galacticbattlegrounds
Warcraft 3
Grand Theft Auto 3
Soldier of Fortune 2

& also Battlefield 1942 which is newer...

Using CloneCD or Blindwrite with NO Problems... So it must be a burner problem or Os causing conflict causing the errors.
