Fatal Fury mark of the wolves

Will there ever be a patch for the english echelon (e-ffmotw)release, that makes it go 60hz on a pal dc? I don't think so, cause if it were it would be available already......
Or should i try doing it with a pal-patcher? I'm really having trouble using these general pal-patchers, so i was wondering if any of you guys know how to request a specific .ppf from those release groups. Better, still, would be if any of you can tell me how to do it on my own. Any help would be appreciated.
-cheers

Steve456, a patch is only supposed to **MODIFY** an existing game to work a specific way... To borrow your phrase: Now "I'm confused" at what exactly you're asking.

GL : these groups don't work anymore on DC games. They won't spend any time working on "old" patches. And it's very difficult to find them. You can contact some of them on IRC if you know where they are...

If you want to make your own patches, you'll probably need to learn DC assembler and do reverse ingeneering on your bin files.

Did PAL patcher find a 50/60 Hz code on this game ?
If so, do you really care about wasting 1 blank CD to make a test ? I wasted thousands CDs for tests...

Steve456 : you need 2 things :
1) your patch file (*.ppf)
2) the original image of your game (*.cdi, *.bin, *.nrg, ...)
Then what you need to do is use a patch engine (PPF-O-Matic for example) to apply your patch to your image. It simply modifies a specific code in a specific file.

Yes thnx for replying,

I have already been wasting a lot of blanks on this.
But there are some things I haven't tried just yet.
For instance I only tried using the general patchers on 1ST_READ.bin files, maybe it'll work on the entire .cdi or .bin
like with the .ppf's. Just one other Q; If I make a .cdi-image of an already burned game (of course of one that was released as .cdi in the first place, like e-ffmotw), will it be the same as the original?
It would be easily assumed but you never know. And I have no real way of confirming other than acquiring the realease all over again.

-cheers mate

Yes, you can make the same image than the one you burnt, but only if you use the same program the original image has been made with (and the same version !).

Generic patchers should work on entire image and you shouldn't need the original image to use them. You only need it if you want to apply a specific patch that was made for it.
