Question Marvel VS Capcom 2 help

I got some troubles people...

when i got the marvel vs capcom 2 file that is 9 RAR's in one bunch....

It claims to be 'bootable' and all like that... WELL...

first i tried to burn it in its original format (CDI) and it gave me an error message just as it finished... saying something like
"error trying to read file C:\blah blah\blah blah" pointing to the file itself....
that burn really screwed up....
so then i used CDI2NERO and converted the file.

NERO burned the file successfully, BUT....
when I put it in my Dreamcast, it starts up.. shows the DC logo...
goes to a white screen like its getting ready to show the "SEGA" logo..... but then it jumps back to the place where you can select play game.... memory card stuff... CDplayer and all that.

What is up with this one? I've tried reburning it... same thing.
The two i tried were in DAO mode.... should they be in TAO?

The first track was supposedly 200 and some odd meg.. and the second was just one meg. why would the second file be the smaller one?? Could that be the problem?

The version of Diskjuggler I have is 2.X....
the version I have of NERO is the newest version.
I even tried Diskjuggler 4.0... still no dice.

I can usually get these suckers working in one try... but this sucker that I want so BADLY is not working!! Any ideas???

Have you tried to test your image with CDMage, or something like that. It's bound to be corrupted.

Unhappy it is corrupted

You are correct man....

I went in and checked it with CD-mage.... the file is corrupt!

Why would the file be corrupt?? I downloaded the files.... they checked out right (CRC checks and all) and now the file is corrupt?!?! Why would they release a crap file?

Is there any way to fix a corrupt file?

Damn these forums seem dead. =/

Good thing I clicked this thread, cuz that CDmage program is a real diamond. Solves half of my problems in this area. Thanks!

Xero, this forum isn't dead !

grinchasshoe : CRC ok doesn't mean your image is OK. It just means that your compressed data are ok and can be extract the right way. If your image was corrupted before you compressed it, it won't work...
But CDMage can't handle last DJ version. Maybe CDMage can't read your image even if it's ok...
Is it a "real" release ?
I mean a release by a known group ?

Are you saying cdmage can't handle the latest dj? Cuz maybe that explains why I'm getting Invalid Format errors on a few games.

Conflict Zone, & NBA2k2 * oh and another - Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves. so far.. 'bout 50 more to sort thru..

Should I rely 100% on what CDmage says? I mean.. I've only tested a few games out.. I've broke even I'd say on it.. even though I have far more "coasters" now then I used too =P

I dunno if I'd go as far to say if I'm using anyones "releases" cuz uh.. not sure about the rules here.

CDMage manages all DJ 2.x and 3.x images before v 3.50.818...

You shouldn't rely on what CDMage says. You should rely on what your DreamCast says.

Hmmmm

The File I downloaded does NOT have a NFO file in it, nor does it say anything about it being a release from a group.
Maybe that is why it is not working.
Thanks man
