Messiah Madness!

I have a v4 NTSC un-modded PS2.

I'm in the market for a modchip (I'm tired of dealing with my PSX plugmod). It's clear to me that the Messiah is the one to get.

Looking around, though, I see plenty of clones and "coming soons".

Which one are we supposed to get?!

According to this thread, the only REAL Messiahs are the ones that are called Messiah and nothing else (ie: no Messiah 2, Messiah Blue, Messiah LE).

What is the harm in getting a clone?

What are the benefits in getting the original instead of a clone?

Is this an original?

Also, is it me, or is the official Messiah website not very helpful?

Thanks!

That thread was the G-man himself. The Messiah Blue is unproven and looking at the install diagrams, I have some cause to worry. The pins are different from the normal Messia as regards the all important CD/DVD Controller.

So my advice is to stick with the real Messiah and follow the G-man's advice.

Charlie, I have written you email, and you said that you'd sell me a Messiah LE (unless the Messiah 2 comes out in the near future, then you'll substitute it with that).

According to that thread, though, the Messiah LE and the Messiah 2 are not original Messiah products.

So I'm a little confused now!

I've always used the term US Messiah, never Messiah LE. I've used the term Messiah 2 for the Ful Feature Messiah version.

All of the products to which I refer are original Messiah versions.

Er, sorry, my mistake. I checked again and you said "Messiah Lite" and not Messiah LE.

I got them mixed up (I though Lite and LE were the same).

Sooooooooo... the Messiah US that's out soon (the one I linked to above) is the full featured Messiah? With Macrovision defeat, etc?

If not, which one is the BEST?
