Tremendous Lag with Star Wars Jedi Knight 2

I have DSL and whenever I try to play Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 I get ridiculous lag, to the point where the game is not playable, I use Gamespy to select the server.
Any suggestions?

Dont use Gamespy to connect to servers? Ermmm, connect to servers that are 'local' to u?
Gamespy always messes up my ping, hate that program.

are you playing with the noCD patch?

Yes theres a list of servers, just use the built in server browser that came with Jedi Outcast.
