Interesting (Song and DVD+RW)

I'm new, thinking about getting a Pioneer A04 because that's what most people here think will work for burning PS2 games.

But anyway I was browsing the forums and it seems that DVD+R/RW will not work on the Ps2. Then whilst reading some information about DVD Recording at another site it seems that whilst Pioneer is supporting the DVD-R/RW format, Sony meanwhile has gotten behind the DVD+R/RW format. Hmmm interesting.
