Safe Speed to burn DC games?

I usually burn 'em at 1X (about 30 min). I learned to burn at the slowest speed when the PSX games I burnt use to have skippy FMVs and choppy play when I burn it at 2X, 4X, and so forth. Is it the same with DC games? Can I burn them at a higher speed and still retain smooth gameplay, smooth FMV's, and so on?

Most important thing to remember is to make sure your CD-R media (discs) is rated at least as high as your burner. If you burn 16x, don't use 10x or 8x discs. If you have a 24x burner, don't use 16x discs. A 16x burner and 24x discs should work just fine though.
